Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS)
The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) was established in December 1990 with the objective to promote and encourage orderly growth of the convention and exhibition industry in Malaysia.
During its initial years, the Association’s membership was confined mainly to stand designers and builders, freight forwarders and venue providers. In June 2005, a new Executive Board headed by Anthony Wong, Asian Overland Services Sdn. Bhd., a pioneer industry player was appointed by the Annual general Meeting and amendments made to the Constitution to enable more industry practitioners to join the Association.
To further strengthen the Association, a full-time Executive Director was appointed in July 2005 to attend to the management of the Association and implement its policies and programme activities.
The Association is working towards establishing a permanent secretariaty the year end, increase membership base, conduct professional training workshops and create more opportunities for business networking. All these efforts are being undertaken in collaboration with and the support of the public and private sector organizations, as well as members.
